2002-2003 Champions League: Juventus and Newcastle United Goals

Together in Group E of the 1st Group Stage of 2002/03 UEFA Champions League, these two black & white teams take separate ways in the 2nd Group Stage.

Juventus places 2nd in Group D (dominated by Manchester United), but they defeat Barcelona and Real Madrid in the knockout stage, reaching their 7th European Cup's final, after 5 years of absence. The first, historical, italian final (against AC Milan). A great team, italian champion in 2002 and 2003, coached by Marcello Lippi and full of champions like Del Piero, Trezeguet, Nedved, Davids, Di Vaio, Thuram and Buffon.

Newcastle United is maybe the strongest team in the club history. Bobby Robson on the bench, Shearer and Bellamy as goalscorers. First partecipation to UEFA Champions League, they places 3rd in Group A of the 2nd Group Stage, behind Barcelona and Internazionale.
